HYPERION was my first hack and a labour of love that I dedicated to my friends in the SMW community. As someone new to the scene at the time I was motivated to create something for myself and influenced by the hacks I was playing and seen people playing on Twitch.
My goal was to make a pretty novice-friendly Kaizo hack with a bunch of custom assets, visuals and music. My focus was on platforming rather than trick-heavy setups or item abuse, to make it more approachable. There are also a handful of secrets and easter eggs throughout the game.
While it originally released it in 2020, I made an update in 2022 to fix my newbie hacker errors and polish up the game overall.
